Nagomi Art
Under the gentle guidance of pastel art instructors Wong Po Huan, Mint Teh, and Jane Goh, the elderly participants used their fingertips to blend their favorite hues, creating Japanese Nagomi artworks full of subtle charm and harmony. For many, it was their first time painting Bodhi leaves, little Buddha, and mandalas—experiences that deeply moved them.
Each piece reflects their profound reflections on life and expresses a longing for peace and wisdom. Through the pastels, they have forged a deep bond with art, illustrating a pure spiritual landscape of their own hearts. These moving works are delicately presented in the “Engraving Buddhist Affinity” exhibition, offering viewers warmth and inspiration. The artworks embody the serene strength and unique aesthetic shaped by a lifetime of experience.
