Visitor Information for Valley of Hope Story Gallery | FAQ
To ensure a smooth and pleasant visit, we encourage you to read the following information before your trip and focus on sections most relevant to your needs:
1. Opening Hours
Every Sunday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
(Closed on the 5th Sunday of the month and public holidays)
To avoid inconvenience, please check our official social media or website for the latest updates before visiting.
2. Admission
Admission is free. Contributions towards conservation efforts are welcome.
3. Is a reservation required?
For groups of fewer than 15 visitors, no reservation is needed. You may visit freely during opening hours.
For group visits or guided tours, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure proper arrangements and a more enjoyable experience.

4. Group Size
Due to space limitations, each group is recommended to be no more than 40 people.
For groups larger than 40, entry will be arranged in batches and time slots. Please contact the gallery in advance to coordinate.
5. Gallery Theme and Content
The Valley of Hope Story Gallery is dedicated to documenting, preserving, and presenting the collective memories of the leprosy community.
The gallery centres on the real-life stories of the residents, highlighting historical, emotional, and cultural perspectives, while promoting understanding and appreciation of intangible cultural heritage.

6. Are guided tours available?
Yes. Volunteer guides are available during opening hours.
We highly recommend joining a guided tour to gain deeper insight into the stories behind the exhibits and enjoy a more meaningful experience.
7. Is the gallery suitable for children?
Yes, it is family-friendly.
Children can learn about history and humanity through storytelling and interaction in a relaxed environment.
Please ensure children do not run, make excessive noise, and always observe safety.
8. Is the gallery wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The gallery is equipped with accessible facilities, including ramps, a lift (to the first floor), and accessible restrooms.
Please approach our volunteers if assistance is needed.
9. Can I take photos or videos?
Photography is allowed.
However, video recording and audio recording are not permitted, out of respect for the exhibits and other visitors.
Please do not use flash, lighting equipment, or tripods.
For commercial, academic, or media filming, prior written approval from Hospital Sungai Buloh is required.
10. Food, Smoking, and Pets
Eating, smoking, and pets are not allowed inside the gallery.
Please help maintain cleanliness and dispose of rubbish properly.
11. Gallery Environment
The gallery is equipped with air-conditioning and fans.
As it is an open space, it may feel a little warm during hot weather despite air-conditioning. Visitors may wish to bring a portable fan.
12. Luggage Storage
Luggage storage is not available.
Please avoid bringing large or valuable items.
If necessary, you may speak to the volunteers for temporary arrangements, but visitors are responsible for their own belongings.
13. About the Organization
The gallery is initiated and operated by Care & Share Society (a non-profit organization),
and maintained by a dedicated group of long-term volunteers committed to preserving community history and life stories.

15. Public Transport
Take the MRT to Sungai Buloh Station, then transfer to MRT feeder bus T100 to Hospital Sungai Buloh.
Kindly remind the driver to stop at Dewan Orang Ramai PKKN.
Alternatively, taxis or Grab are available.
16. Parking
Free parking is available within the compound.
Tour buses may enter for drop-off but are not suitable for long-term parking.
17. Dining & Facilities
There is a small café and convenience shop within the area.
Visitors may also dine in the hall or on the lawn (for those bringing their own food).
Please clean up after eating to help maintain a tidy environment.
18. Accommodation & Camping
There are are currently no accommodation or camping facilities available within the area.
19. Outdoor Exploration
After visiting the gallery, visitors are welcome to explore the outdoor areas of the Valley of Hope.
Please be respectful, avoid disturbing residents, and stay within permitted areas.
20. Other Activities
In addition to the Story Gallery, you may also:

21. Customized Tours
Groups, schools, and non-profit organizations may apply for customized tour programs.
Organizers are encouraged to conduct a site visit beforehand to plan suitable content.
All related manpower, materials, and costs are to be borne by the organizing party.

1. In the event of an emergency, please follow the instructions of our volunteers and exit via the evacuation routes.
2. If you feel unwell or are involved in an accident, please inform our volunteers immediately for assistance.
